2021 Willie Mays Scholars

Over the past few years, the Giants Community Fund observed the need to combat institutional racism and racial inequities within the education system. The Willie Mays Scholars program will help tackle racial and educational inequities by providing additional opportunities for Black youth in San Francisco to prepare for, attend, and succeed in college and beyond. They partnered with Alive & Free and 100% College Prep and we are honored!

This month, the program became a reality as we inducted the first five scholars in a surprise reveal at Oracle Park. Their families were invited to have dinner on the field and the students were surprised with custom Giants jerseys!
