Our College Prep Class recently had the opportunity to visit Google and listen to 5 panelists share their career experiences and paths towards working at Google.Serving as good role models and offering great advice, their words of wisdom were in alignment with the lessons taught here at the Alive & Free Leadership Academy. Here’s what the panelists said…
“People who you are around will determine where you end up” ~ Lawrence
“You need a plan, guidance, and support. Ask questions and find support.” ~ Quincy
“You must be willing to grow, learn, and transform yourself.”~ Kathleen
“Network and stay connected with those you network with. Get back to them and keep them posted on your progress.” ~ Sean
“Just because you’re not there now doesn’t mean you won’t get there. Embrace change and challenge yourself.” ~ Ryan
“Put your best foot forward, because someone is always watching.” ~Phifer
Thank you Lawrence, Quincy, Kathleen, Sean, Ryan and Phifer! Your courage to share your very personal stories gave our kids the courage to trust. From experience, we know that if we only reach their heads and not their hearts, change won’t reach their feet. This year thanks to this special panel of Google employees, 25 hearts were reached!
