Hall of Fame
Shervon Hunter-Johnson was a the first girl who joined the Omega Boys Club. Her male friends were in it and she wasn’t going to be left out. She did the work and was accepted to Delaware State University in 1988 on a basketball scholarship. Little did she know, her basketball accomplishments would become so noteworthy that she was recently inducted into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame this past November.
Shervon has truly made a difference to Alive & Free. She attends every event and let’s people know that the light is always on Tuesday nights. She continues to be a pillar in our community as she participates in many violence-prevention activities and has started her own non-profit, Live in Peace NOW. We are proud of Shervon and want to celebrate her success!
