Layla Turner

Alumni Layla Turner is a hard working woman. She is a a certified CPA by day, loving mother by night, and is now co-owner of 2 businesses alongside her husband, Eric.

They have just opened up their dream shop, a juice bar, known as The Hip Hop Juice Box in Emeryville, CA. They feature fresh squeezed juices, smoothies, coffee, and more in their hip-hop themed cafe that features a private collection of classic hip hop vinyl, tapes, bobbleheads and a large DJ mural takes up the whole back wall. They provide jobs for local folks who want to work in the food industry. This dream wasn’t achieved by themselves. They went an untraditional route and pooled their money together with their friends to make the investment giving them full control of their dream, and not the bank.

We are proud of Layla & Eric’s success as they continue their growth as a power couple who worked together to make their dreams a reality.
