West County Collective Impact Institute Celebrates 1st Year
On December 3, 2018, Alive & Free participated with our partner SafeReturn to celebrate the successful completion of the 1st West County Collective Impact Institute. There were 13 participants. Formally incarnated, and looking to not only rebuild their lives and family, but to also make a positive impact within the community in which they call home. The Collective Impact Institute work to develop life and leadership skills, how to create and use media, how to advocate for self & community, research and campaign for policies that affect the formally incarcerated, and to become self-sufficient.
Alive & Free provides the life skills portion of the institute using the Prescription Methodology developed by Dr. Joseph Marshall. Alive & Free presented certificates to the 13 participants for completing 8 sessions over a 4 week period, in which they were exposed to Risk Factors and the Rules for Living.
